Riefenstahl

Leni Riefenstahl was a celebrated dancer and actress in the 1920s. After having attracted the attention of Adolf Hitler, she went on to direct the propaganda film Triumph of the Will, about the 1934 Nazi Party rally in Nuremberg. It was a sensational success and propelled her to become the Third Reich’s pre-emininent filmmaker.

Riefenstahl is an "extraordinary deep-dive documentary” (The Guardian) of the world-famous and controversial filmmaker’s legacy, culling from Riefenstahl’s personal archives, with renowned German filmmaker Andres Veiel at the helm. Riefenstahl premiered at the Venice International Film Festival to the highest praise, before going on to screen at the Telluride Film Festival.
