Mona lives with her adult son Joël in a small apartment in the suburbs of Paris. Joël, who is in his thirties and has an intellectual disability, works at a sheltered workplace and is in love with his colleague Océane. When Océane becomes pregnant, the strong bond between mother and son is put to the test.
