MIROIRS NO 3

During a weekend in the countryside, Laura miraculously survives a car accident. Physically unscathed but deeply shaken, she is taken in by Betty, who witnessed the accident and tends to her with care. Gradually, Betty's husband and son grow accustomed to Laura's presence, and an almost familial calm settles in. But soon they can no longer ignore their past, and Laura must confront her own life.

Since its world premiere in Cannes, Christian Petzold's new film has screened both Toronto and New York. Lead once again by the outstanding Paula Beer (Frantz, Transit), the acclaimed psychological drama Miroirs No. 3 evokes Hitchcock but is as always portrayed through Petzold's unique, minimalist style.
